When a pensioner dies it is important that whoever is looking after their affairs lets us know as soon as possible, this will help us make sure we do not make any overpayments and therefore won't have to make a claim for these overpayments.

Once we are notified that a pensioner has passed away, we can then stop the pension payments and put in place any new pensions which are due.

Information we need when a death is reported

  • the pensioner's name, address and date of death

  • the pensioner's payroll reference number and National Insurance number, these can be found on a recent pay slip or their P60

  • the name and address of the pensioner's next of kin

  • the name and address of the person looking after their affairs if you are not the next of kin

How to contact us

Email the above information to pensionenquiries@wiltshire.gov.uk or write to us at Wiltshire Pension Fund, PO Box 2096, Livingston, EH54 0HH.
